I've realized that I'm addicted to make up and beauty products. The above picture is of me on January 6th...a day out with my best friend for a preview of Mac's new spring colors in Columbia...I was so excited that day. I remember telling Cher, "Girl, I'm not buying nothing, I'm chilling" and I also remember us both walking out of Nordstrom with MAC Cosmetic bags in our hands. Truly Incredible Right?
Anyway, this past weekend, somewhere in my travels, I lost my make up bag. Over $400.00 worth of products...Gone. Hopefully, someone will be able to make use of the bag (Chanel) and products that I could not live without.
I actually didn't even want to go anywhere this past weekend. I was devistated. I felt naked. It was unbelievable...I was really surprised at how dependent
I was on a bunch of chemicals and paint! LOL
I have started the painful and expensive process of replacing some of the items...there's still a bunch of stuff I need so I got a head start yesterday on my lunch break and I picked up the following:
Liners: Nightmoth, Currant, Chestnut
Eyeshadow: Expresso, Carbon, Honesty
Lip Sticks: Ruby Woo, Honey Love, Vixen, Viper, Snob
CHANEL Glossimer - Glitter & Sunset Gold
Concealer - NW45
MAC Mini Brush Kit
I could really kick myself in the ass for this one...I've already spent a ton of damn money replacing this stuff and I'm not even half way there.
Life as a girl...ain't easy. Although I was irritated as hell yesterday when my "personal make up consultant" (LOL) informed me of my total $$$$$
But as I swiped my BOA card at Nordstrom's...inside, I felt a sense of ease and peace.
I was relieved, settled and content.
When I arrived home to open my goodies it was weird...I felt "put together again."

makeup is entirely too expensive. especially mac cosmetics!! i stick to my neutral colors which affords me a nice looking face AND money in my pocket. i don't know how you do it girl.

Instead of working I am here reading your blog. I was blog hopping and I stumbled across your page and began reading, I got to this entry and said I MUST comment. I know how you feel. I am a Lover of make-up. There is a sense of peacefulness that you get from applying concealer and powder. I would have been devastated like you if I had lost my MAC products. My cousins call me the MAC Queen. There is something about applying eye shadow and liner and lipstick that makes the day seem that much better. Hope your restocking is going well. I'm definitely hooked onto your blog
